Gas Buy Down

Missions can be done a half a world away or a half a block away. This is a group of us who participated in a "Gas Buy Down" close to our church. The concept was simple. We went to a local gas station and pre bought several hundred gallons of gasoline during a time of soaring gas prices 2 summers ago. We then re-sold the gas to the public at a reduced cost. We had cars lined up out of the parking lot. We created a mojor traffic jam at the service station. But everybody loved it and we were able to show the love of God in a practical way.
