Called For A Purpose

I am excited about the potential for many people at WBC to discover their true purpose in life as a result of the 5 week series entitled Called For A Purpose. I am a little non-traditional in my Biblical views concerning "calling". I do not believe that I am special because I am called to be a pastor. I believe that everyone of us is special and is called by God to do ministry. I happen to be called to do ministry as a vocation. Not everyone is called to this. But everyone is called to serve God in some capacity. We are a "...chosen people, a royal priesthood..." All of us have been called by God. He saved us for a reason and his intention for us was in his mind when he called us to salvation (Eph 2:10 ). Do a word study on the word "called" and you will see that this word is almost exclusively used to describe God's call to salvation. A call to salvation is a call to service.
