This is our third day at the new location and although I have not been able to get much work accomplished I have had a lot of fun getting settled in. There are still many things that need to happen in order for us to be ready for Jan 6th but things are rolling along.
I am excited that the baptistery works. We have 12 people awaiting baptism which is scheduled for Jan 6th. If any of you would like to volunteer for the baptism committee I would love the help.
I am also very very excited that the HVAC is in operation for the unfinished third floor. I was surprised this morning when I went up there and it was not freezing cold. After meeting with the HVAC person I discovered that we have the capability to control the temp in there. This combined with the fact that it is already sheet rocked excites me because I believe we will be able to utilize this space much sooner than I originally expected.
Probably the nicest space in the entire building (besides the sanctuary) is the parlor. I have a feeling that committees, Sunday School classes, and other groups which need a small space in which to hold meetings and fellowships will be fighting over this space. It is not completely decorated yet, but it is going to have a good Southern feel to it.
