I cannot believe that the New York Giants beat the New England Patriots last night. I believe that this is a bigger upset than the upset in College football earlier this year between Michigan and Appalacian State. The Patriots have been touted all season as the best team in the history of football. I cannot imagine how deflated that team must be right now. Not to mention all the Patriot fans. Most of us who live and grew up in the south do not realize how important professional football is to northerners. In the south, it is all about College football. But up north...they are SERIOUS about pro.
Unbelievable. Just goes to show you...every giant has a weak spot. Last night that weak spot was Tom Brady...or maybe it was the Patriots offensive line. Either way, the Giants defensive line was able to wreek havoc for Brady, throwing him off rythem.
My hat is off to the Giants...and...it pains me to say...Eli Manning. It is hard for me to say that because Eli played for Ole Miss. Since I am a Mississippi State fan I must detest all things Ole Miss and all things which were once Ole Miss.
I will tell you what I would like to see. Manning vs Manning next year in the Super Bowl. One of my friends said it would be "The Manning Bowl". Wouldn't that be a sight!
